Classical Tea Room to support Barningham Fete

Coghlans open up their Classical Tea Room to support Barningham Fair Day on the Sunday 18th June!

On Sunday 18th June, Coghlans will open their Classical Tea Room, especially for the village to enjoy some hospitality and raise funds for the village causes. Whilst guests admire the visiting Tees Valley MG Club vehicles which will form the backdrop to the day, guests can enjoy light lunches and delicious homemade cakes scones and desserts at Coghlans housed in Barningham Park Coach House. A percentage of the takings will be donated to the fair funds and we hope that guests enjoy one of the most spectacular Barningham Fair Days in recent history.

Tickets for the Barningham Village Fete runs from 11 am to 3 pm. Entry costs £3 for adults and £1 for children. A family ticket is £7 for two adults and up to three children.

Did you know that Coghlans Artisan Bread is now available from stores in Simons butchers in  Staindrop, Barton Village Stores, Ken Warne Richmond, Cotherstone Post Office, MacFarlane’s Butchers in Barnard Castle and Middleton in Teesdale, Woodland stores and our latest retailer, East Cowton Village Shop. In addition, our new shop counter at Barningham now sells Acorn Dairy Milk Cream and Butter, Teesdale Cheeses, Coghlans finest chocolates and truffles, Jams, Chutneys and pickles as well as other locally made produce.

We’ve got 4 new Pop-Up events happening in June at our private dining rooms in the Barningham Park Coach House!

Tutored Wine and Cheese Tasting

Friday 2nd June, 7pm – £18 per person

Tutored wine tasting of premium wines with Andrew Coghlan and a tasting of locally made artisan cheeses and Coghlans artisan bread, chutneys, pickles and fruits.

Afternoon Tea

Sunday 4th June, 3pm – £18 per person

A classical English Afternoon Tea with stunning savoury and sweet courses, all served in our elegant private dining room on English Bone China.

Dementia Awareness Day

Thursday 15th June, 10:30am – Free entry

Join us and enjoy tea and cupcakes whilst we will be raising money for the Alzheimer’s society on eating delicious cupcakes from our artisan bakery and other sweet treats. Bring your friends and let’s help to make a difference!

Summer Salmon and Strawberry Supper

Friday 30th June, 7pm – £32.50 per person

Enjoy a delicious supper of seasonal freshly poached salmon and English strawberries with a glass of champagne cocktail to complement your meal.

Pop Up Dinner at Barningham – Friday 12th May

Once again Coghlans are hosting a Pop-Up Dinner at our new luxurious dining room at Barningham Park Coach House – The home of Coghlans at Barningham on Friday 12th May, 7 PM.
 
Join Coghlans for a sumptuous five-course tasting menu crafted by Coghlans experienced team of chefs led by Janet Coghlan and own Moody.
 
The night will include a stunning presentation of locally sourced dishes from our outstanding team of chefs, offering the best locally reared and produced foods along with a range of wines which match with each course.
 
Dine in the luxury of our new private dining rooms at Barningham Coach House as our hospitality team take you through each course with matched wine flavours and elegant tableware.
 
Only £39 per person.
